We would love to do more.... but.
We could use a bus
We are looking for a bus that will enable us to go around to the motels and pick children and adults up in order to bring them to the food pantry, clothes cottage and a hot meal. We have a driver who is dependable, he;s just lacking that bus you have so he can do what it is he does…
We could really use a refrigerated box truck to pick up food from our various partners… if you are willing to donate one in good working order, we could really really use it.
Volunteers
You may not be able to help financially, but you do have two hands, an open heart and willingness to see others prosper. We can always use more cooks, people to distribute food, clean up, as well as a host of other things that you were perfectly suited to help out with… If you can’t figure out just what to do… we will guide you in your helping helpful ways. Come on by and talk to Melissa.
Savour Your Next Holiday by serving Others
We served over 500 meals Thanksgiving of 2018. There are and were more mouths than we could feed, so we did the best we could… you can help us do even more.
CHRISTMAS
Each year we take in donations for the children of the less fortunate. We then put on a large dinner for the families and then take the children into another area, while we let the parents shop (free) for their kids. We know what it’s like to see nothing on Christmas morning… We don’t want to see them experience that same thing.
Our Community – Jefferson Davis Corridor
Things we always need:
- Reusable grocery bags, paper grocery bags, and backpacks
- Paper products, paper plates, take out containers, napkins, paper towels, plastic ware, toilet paper
- Personal care items, deodorant, disposable razors, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, tooth paste and tooth brushes
- Baby formula, baby food and baby wipes
- Crock pots new or used in good condition please!!
- Tents, sleeping bags and camping items
- Donations it helps us stay open!!
- Volunteers, We love them!
